Approved for All Components of the Early Literacy Success Grant

Children’s Literacy Initiative (CLI) is proud to partner with Oregon school districts to improve early literacy outcomes. As one of only four providers approved by the Oregon Department of Education for all ELSSDG components, CLI offers a full suite of services to help districts achieve transformative results.

Our Services

The services we provide demonstrate early literacy best practices for educators to implement in their schools and classrooms. Using literacy programs, professional learning, and resources, we create the next generation of readers, writers, and critical thinkers.

Professional Development

Interactive, research-based training tailored to your educators’ needs.

Example Training

Culturally Sustaining Read-Alouds

(Aligned with Oregon’s Early Literacy Framework emphasis on culturally responsive materials and practices, this training helps educators use diverse texts to foster inclusivity and critical thinking in their classrooms.)

Goals:

Equip teachers to foster inclusivity and critical thinking through diverse texts.

Format:

Hybrid sessions, aligned with Oregon’s ELA standards.

Personalized, job-embedded support to enhance instructional practices and leadership.
