Your annual contribution of $10,000 or more to The Children’s Literacy Initiative’s Giving Society provides culturally sustaining literacy instruction, transforming early learning outcomes for 100,000 Black and Latinx children nationwide. Joining this advocacy movement ensures lasting impact, safeguarding high-quality reading education for children affected by systemic inequity. LIT Society members enjoy year-round engagement, including newsletters and CEO Breakfast Briefings, and receive recognition on CLI’s donor wall and in select publications.

Your annual unrestricted donation supports CLI’s efforts to enhance children’s outcomes. With your investment, CLI can, for instance, offer hundreds of families high-quality picture books, along with guidance on reading development, selecting appropriate books, and fostering a love of reading and learning during shared read-aloud time.
$20,000 – $25,000 annually
Annual unrestricted gifts help CLI drive teachers’ success in the classroom and build lasting capacity for teachers. An investment such as yours, for example, helps CLI provide teachers with year-round, weekly job-embedded, and individualized support from CLI coaches with deep early literacy expertise.

Your annual unrestricted donation supports CLI in delivering high-quality, culturally sustaining literacy instruction. With your investment, CLI can work directly with children needing supplemental support, providing daily reading intervention to accelerate their pathway to literacy attainment.

Your member benefits and thank you gifts will be automatically sent to the mail address or email you provide. If items have been damaged or lost, please contact our Donor Service team at give@cli.org or 215-561-4676 so we can correct the situation immediately.
Yes. Every penny of the grant from your donor-advised fund will be used for charitable purposes and you will receive an acknowledgement thanking you for your gift. You may waive anything more than incidental benefits related to membership.
