Celebrating 100 Years of Reading

The 100th anniversary of Children’s Book Week, spearheaded by the Children’s Book Council and its charitable arm, Every Child A Reader, takes place April 29 through May 5, 2019. The theme is “Read Now. Read Forever.” Children’s Literacy Initiative invites you to join us in building lifelong readers by committing to a sustaining donation!

You can celebrate the 100th anniversary of Children’s Book Week with the free resources and materials offered on the event website. Want to celebrate with a special child in your life? Check out some of CLI’s curated book lists for great picks to read together.

This week, we invite you to help more children gain access to high-quality books. Did you know that in low-income neighborhoods, only one age-appropriate book is available for every 300 children?

Support Children’s Book Week by donating and give the gift of literacy!
