Annual Giving – LIT Giving Society
Children’s Literacy Initiative’s LIT Giving Society is our opportunity to recognize individuals and families who, through their annual support and engagement, are committed to liberating, innovating, and transforming early learning and literacy outcomes for Black and Latinx children across the country. Philanthropic commitments of $10,000 or more annually significantly elevate the work CLI undertakes to undo inequities in education and provide best in class culturally sustaining literacy instruction for children.

Lifetime Giving – The Catalyst Society
The Catalyst Society honors donors who through their philanthropic leadership have played a critical role in safeguarding high-quality reading education that children impacted by systemic inequity deserve. Members of the Catalyst Society have made cumulative gifts to CLI at levels of $100,000 or more over the lifetime of their giving*.
Estate & Future Planned Gifts – Legacy Society
The Legacy Society honors and recognizes donors who have documented their commitment to Children’s Literacy Initiative by will, trust, life insurance, beneficiary designation of retirement plan assets or DAF, or other future planned gifts. Legacy Society members demonstrate their commitment to a shared vision by supporting CLI’s future financial security, ensuring that CLI will continue to provide the essential early literacy programs for teachers and students in the future.
Individuals who have made a bequest or other future planned gifts are encouraged to make CLI aware of the gift. We want to make sure the gift will be used as you have intended as well as show our appreciation in your lifetime. Learn more about the Legacy Society.
* Gifts of cash, stock; recommended DAF grants; employer matching gifts; and gifts from family foundations qualify in determining an individual’s or family’s cumulative giving. Bequests and deferred gifts are not included in The Catalyst Society cumulative giving amounts. CLI recognizes individuals who contribute such gifts through The Legacy Society. Members of a giving society may request to remain anonymous.
